 The University of Cambodia Bestowed Prize winning Awards

to 2009 High School Festival of Arts

 
 
Phnom Penh: The University of Cambodia (UC) has organized a Ceremony to Bestow Prize Winning Awards to 2009 High School’s students Festival of Arts. Many paper paintings and wooden sculptures had been submitted to compete within the Festival.
 
Mr. Samraing Kamsan, Senior Adviser to the University of Cambodia, read the announcement and the decision of the University of Cambodia on the Winning Prize Awards of 2009 High School Festival of Arts in Cambodia. The First Prize winning award went to student named Chea Bunly, from Neth Yang High School, who had submitted a water painting to the committee depicting the topic of preserving and protecting national cultural heritage. The second prize went to student named Lon Raby, a student coming from Santhor Mok High School, who had a good work in painting an art work on the subject of promoting  Generosity and Hunanity. The Third Prize Winner went to Mr. Bo Sakalketya, student coming from Samdech Hun Sen’s Serei Pheap School, evaluated on his oil painting on “New World Order Thinking”.
 
Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, President of the University of Cambodia, said that this 2009 Festival of Arts of High School Student was supported by The International Foundation for Arts and Culture, Tokyo, Japan. The festival was successfully held with the participation of many art works the Cambodian High School Students.
 
In other words, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn reiterated that in 2010, again, this kind of Art Festival will be widely organized throughout the country in order to promote the arts of painting, drawing and sculpting among our young high school students.
 
It should be mentioned that this year is the 5th year that the University of Cambodia has organizes the High school Festival of arts in Cambodia for the purpose of enhancing and consolidating creative activities and painting arts and sculpture among the Cambodian High School Students. DARARITH.
