The 3rd Basic Training and Uniform Dedication to UCCRCY Youth
On 3 October 2015, H.E. Pit Chamnan, Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, and a Member of a Central Cambodian Red Cross Committee, presided over the closing ceremony on the Third Basic Training and Uniform Dedication to 101 University of Cambodia Cambodian Red Cross Youth (UC-CRCY).
The ceremony was opened with remarks by Ms. Por Malis, Vice President for Operations, Advisor to The University of Cambodia Red Cross Club, and representative of Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Founder and Presi-dent of The University of Cambodia and Honorary President of The University of Cambodia Red Cross Club. The Third Basic Training and Uniform Dedication to 101 University of Cambodia Cambodian Red Cross Youth (UCCRCY) was conducted on the 2nd and 3rd of October, 2015, at the University of Cambodia, with participation from high ofï¬cials and key persons of the Cambodian Red Cross, advisors and representatives of Cambodian Red Cross Youth from 10 higher education institutions, management and staff of the University of Cambodia, and the 101 new members of the UCCRCY.
The training was divided into four topics, covering four major themes, as follows:
The History of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and International Humanitarian Efforts, by Mr. Roeun Sokhon, Deputy Head of Development Sub-Department;
Understanding Road Safety in Cambodia, by Ms. Luy Kolap, Ofï¬cial of Cambodian Red Cross Youth and Road Safety Program;
The Policy and Management of CRCY, by Mr. Kun Sameng, Head of Development Sub-Department; and
First Aid, by Mr. Keo Ratanak, First Aid Sub-Department, and Mr. Sou Sokna, Program Youth Coordinator.
After the training was completed, an election was held for UCCRCY to choose the Head of Club, two Deputies, and four members (Administration, Finance, Information, and Fine Arts). As a result, the elected leadership of the club is as follows:

At last, the Uniform Dedication Ceremony to UCCRCY was conducted, H.E. Pit Chamnan, Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, and a Member of a Central Committee of the Cambodian Red Cross, ofï¬cials of the Cambodian Red Cross, and management and staff of the University of Cambodia presented uniforms to each of the 101 new UCCRCY members.
