ON THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBODIA

PHNOM PENH: 451 students of UC academic foundation year department and of UC Center for English Study have successfully graduated from the University of Cambodia. The Graduation Ceremony has been officially held on the 15th of July 2009.
Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, President of the University of Cambodia, has addressed his keynote remarks to appreciate the newly-graduated students for having made their attempt to achieve successfully their one year study programs. The president highly appreciated the significant results achieved by the students. Their outstanding outcomes were the English speaking and writing skills. These skills were very important for their major studies and their job opportunities in the society. The President said that the English knowledge as well as knowledge acquired by the foundation year program was very instrumental for students to continue their studies at the higher educational classes. The students have to pass these English Classes in order to be well ready for making researches on the internet.
It should be also worthy to mention that the amount of the 7th generation of students who graduated from the academic foundation year department of the University of Cambodia in the academic year 2008-2009 were 158 in which those who passed their A and B+ mentions were 62. As for students of the Center for English Study, among 293, there were 16 of them who gained A and B+ mentions. Dararith.
