On Friday, November 20th, 2015, approximately 150 students enjoyed an informative sharing session with Gold Financial Global Co., LTD. Mr. Sokhemara, HR Director, and Mr. Sales Sovannara, Administration Director, were the key speakers of the event. The participants enjoyed learning how to set up a resume in detail including what to do when one has a lack of job experience, and that one should sign their resume and then scan it when sending in resumes via email. Mr. Sokhemera elaborated on why companies need birthdays for age and gender selection purposes and what GFG is looking for as far as skill requirements. Students learned a lot about internships and how GFG will pay $50.00 for gas per month and will also give a certificate of completion. The internship program consists of working 4 hours per day for 2 months. Upon completion of the internship, the student will be qualified to apply for a full time position or other opportunity. Mr. Sokhemara and Mr. Sales Sovannara have brought great knowledge and life lessons to the students at UC, and have helped to better prepare them for life outside of university.
Introducing Partners of UC
The University of Cambodia understands the importance of cultivating meaningful relationships locally and internationally, and thus is excited to announce the implementation of a new program called, Partners of UC. This program aims to expand the UC family to include organizations and institutions throughout Cambodia and abroad, who support the mission, spirit and purpose of UC. Collaboration between Partners, and UC will be mutually beneficial, and will create a large network of innovative individuals that can be used to support personal, institutional, and national development.
Partners of UC will be invited to speak to students, faculty and staff regarding their individual specialties, display products on campus and at UC events, and offer internships or employment to our talented students. In addition, Partners are encouraged to work alongside UC management to develop and enhance university curriculum and human resource development.
